2022 FIA Formula One World Championship
The 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship was a motor racing championship for Formula One cars which was the 73rd running of the Formula One World Championship. The championship was contested over twenty-two Grands Prix, beginning with the Bahrain Grand Prix on 18 March and concluding with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on 20 November. The championship was won by Max Verstappen of the Netherlands, driving for the Red Bull Racing team. Verstappen won fifteen of the twenty-two races, and finished on the podium in all but two of the races he competed in. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari won three races and finished as runner-up in the championship, while Sergio Pérez of Red Bull Racing won two races and finished third in the championship.
